Stone Town Council will host its first Alternative Car Event on Saturday 26 September 2026. The free event takes place in the High Street and Market Square from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

The event will feature custom, tuned, kit and American cars on display, offering visitors a different perspective on vehicles not commonly seen on the roads.

Building on Classic Car Success

Stone Town Council has organised the event in partnership with the Stone Carnival Committee, following the success of the classic car event held earlier in 2026.

Councillor Jill Hood, Chairman of the Council's Tourism and Town Promotion Sub-Committee, said: "The Town Council is excited to be bringing a new car event to the High Street. Residents and visitors alike thoroughly enjoy the annual classic car event and so we were keen to build on that success. It has been a pleasure to work alongside the Stone Carnival Committee and we are very grateful for their support in co-ordinating this event, which is free to attend and is destined to be another family favourite. This is a great opportunity to get up close and personal with unique cars that you would not normally come across on the roads!"

Road Closure Information

A road closure will be in place for the High Street from 7:00am to 4:30pm on the day. No vehicles other than those part of the event will be able to access the High Street during those times.
