LCT Homewares, an independent furniture and homewares business run by Stone resident Lindsey Curtis, is relocating to the former Barclays Bank building on Stone High Street this autumn. The business plans to open in October, though an exact date has not yet been announced.
Background
LCT Homewares opened its first shop on Whitebridge Industrial Estate in September 2024, after initially operating from Lindsey Curtis's home and online. The business sells furniture, home accessories, gifts and regularly changes its stock.
The High Street unit became vacant this summer following the closure of The Artisan Boutique and Kitchen on 11 July, when owner Susan Hughes retired. The Artisan had occupied the building since 2021, after Barclays Bank closed its Stone branch in July 2021.
What happens next
LCT Homewares will remain largely the same following the relocation, though the larger High Street presence will provide opportunities to introduce more stock at the new premises. The current shop at 2 Whitebridge Lane will continue normal operations for now.
