Stone Community Hub has been awarded a £10,000 grant from the Roly and June Tonge Foundation to support its services for people in Stone and surrounding villages.

The charity operates from the Frank Jordan Centre on Lichfield Street and provides a food bank, practical advice, one-to-one support and activities aimed at reducing social isolation.

How the grant will be used

Stone Community Hub has not yet provided details of how the £10,000 award will be spent. The funding will help the organisation continue providing support, opportunities and activities for local people.

Background

The grant comes after the Hub appealed for food bank donations in September following a busy period that had left supplies running low. The charity relies on donations, fundraising and grants to maintain its services.

The Roly and June Tonge Foundation is a registered charity that provides grants to other charities and voluntary organisations.
