Stone residents are invited to a community open day at Stone Station on Wednesday 4 November, from 10am to 12pm. The event will showcase recent station improvements and invite the public to suggest places of local interest for inclusion in a new mural planned for the station.
North Staffordshire Community Rail Partnership is organising the drop-in event. Visitors can attend at any time during the two-hour window.
What to expect
Members of the Stone Station Adopters will be present to discuss their work at the station. A pop-up café run by Futures2gether will provide free refreshments throughout the morning.
Other organisations taking part include Network Rail, AEDdonate, Stone Heritage Centre, Bumblebee Conservation Trust and Art UK, each offering information and activities.
About the event
The open day has been funded by London Northwestern Railway. No booking is required — the event is open to everyone on a drop-in basis.
