Families looking for free activities during the school holidays can take part in a programme of crafts, creative workshops and interactive play at the V&A Wedgwood Collection in Barlaston.
Craft Club sessions
Craft Club takes place every Tuesday and Thursday during the school holidays, with a different hands-on activity each week inspired by objects from the V&A Wedgwood Collection.
Sessions run from 11.30am to 1pm and from 1.30pm to 3pm. Advance booking is required and can be made through the World of Wedgwood website.
Majolica Makes workshops
Children aged seven to 13 can take part in Majolica Makes, a series of free workshops exploring the colourful Victorian pottery style through the galleries, archive and craft spaces.
The workshops take place on Wednesday 29 July, Wednesday 12 August and Wednesday 26 August, from 1pm to 3pm. Booking is required.
Play Space
Families can also visit the Play Space, which is open every day from 10am until 5pm. The interactive area includes costumes, games and activities inspired by Wedgwood's famous patterns and is available on a drop-in basis throughout the holidays.
