Little Stars Nursery is creating a new baby suite set to open in January 2027. Construction of the purpose-built space is due to be completed by the end of September 2026, with families invited to arrange viewings before the official opening.
Why the expansion
Little Stars has cared for local families for almost 30 years. Growing demand over the past two years and an extensive waiting list prompted the decision to expand. Some children now attending are siblings of former pupils, while others are the sons and daughters of people who attended the nursery themselves.
What the new suite will include
The baby suite has been planned as a calm and comfortable space for the nursery's youngest children. The design will feature plenty of natural light and areas for sleep, play and exploration.
Natural materials, open-ended resources and carefully chosen furnishings will be used throughout. The suite will also have heating, air conditioning and air purification systems installed.
The existing practitioners at Little Stars, many of whom have worked there for several years, will care for the children in the new suite.
About the project
Little Stars spent more than a year selecting a construction partner and is working with Hawksbeck to deliver the new suite. The nursery remains independent and family run.
One-to-one tours and open events will take place after construction is finished, allowing parents to see the suite and meet the nursery team. Families interested in a place or a future viewing can contact Little Stars directly to register their interest.
