Man Time has launched its Flip the Mat campaign across Stone and the surrounding area, with 10,000 beer mats now being delivered to pubs, clubs and community venues.
Volunteer Allan has been visiting local venues with the mats, including The Poste of Stone in Granville Square, where Man Time holds its weekly meetings.
How the campaign works
One side of each mat displays the Flip the Mat campaign message. When turned over, the mat reveals information encouraging people to talk about difficulties they may be facing.
The reverse also carries a QR code linking directly to the Man Time website, where people can find details about the group and access local and national support services.
Man Time said: "Our goal isn't to distribute 10,000 beer mats. Our goal is to start 10,000 conversations. Because one conversation really can change a life."
Residents who spot one of the mats are being encouraged to turn it over and take a moment to read the message.

Man Time provides a regular place for men to talk, connect with others and seek support without having to book or sign up.
The group meets at The Poste of Stone every Monday from 7pm to 8.30pm, except on bank holidays. Anyone interested can simply turn up.
Man Time is one of the Stone Town Mayor's chosen charities for the 2026 to 2027 mayoral year.
