Award-winning barber Shaun Buckingham has opened HM01 Barber Studio in Stone following nearly ten years working in Stafford. The appointment-only studio opened in October at Mason's Boutique, 56 Pirehill Lane.
Buckingham has worked in the hair and barbering industry for more than a decade and has won multiple awards. He decided to establish his own business in Stone to gain creative control and independence after his years in Stafford.
Why Stone
"After nearly ten years working in Stafford, I needed a change of scenery and complete control over my creative vision," Buckingham said. "Opening HM01 in Stone gives me the freedom to deliver high quality haircuts, styling, and client care entirely on my own terms in a relaxed welcoming studio."
He chose Pirehill Lane because it is a short distance from Stone town centre and offers free parking in the area.
How the studio operates
HM01 operates on an appointment-only basis, with Buckingham providing each customer's service from start to finish. This approach differs from traditional walk-in barber shops and allows customers to see the same barber at each visit.
The studio offers haircuts covering traditional, modern and contemporary styles for different ages and preferences. It also stocks KVLT Barbershop styling products.
"My goal is to build strong, long term relationships with every client who walks through my door," Buckingham said.
