Stone Choral is inviting local singers to participate in a Come and Sing event on Saturday 26 September. Participants will rehearse John Rutter's Requiem during the afternoon before the choir performs the work in a free evening concert at St Dominic's Priory Hall on Station Road.
Singers of all abilities are welcome to take part. The afternoon will be led by musical director Harriet Johnson, accompanied by pianist Jennifer Hames.
Timings and Costs
Registration begins at 1.30pm, with rehearsals running from 2pm to 5.30pm, including a tea break. The evening concert starts at 6pm and finishes at approximately 7pm.
The participation fee is £20, which includes music hire, refreshments and cakes. Singers aged under 25 can participate free of charge. Those taking part are asked to bring their own mug.
