Stonefield Park will host a free concert and commemoration event on 10 August, running from 2pm to 4pm. Florence Brass Band will perform throughout the afternoon, which includes wreath-laying to honour those who served and sacrificed in the Burma campaign and on VJ Day.
The Royal British Legion is supporting the commemoration, while Stone Town Council is organising the concert.
What to expect
Afternoon tea and light refreshments will be served. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or picnic blanket. The event is free to attend.
