Textile Takeback, a used clothing business, has opened at Units 8A and 8, Whitebridge Way. The business accepts unwanted clothing, footwear and textiles, paying cash for items accepted. Collections are also available where required.
Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 10am to 2pm. The team says hours could be extended in future if demand warrants it.
Who runs the business
The business is run by Zander, Eloise, Jamie and Lauren. Zander is from Stone. The team has worked in the used clothing trade since 1998, previously importing large volumes of American and Italian vintage clothing.
Why the focus has changed
Zander explained the shift in business model: "We've been involved in the used-clothing trade since 1998, importing large volumes of American and Italian vintage. But our focus has changed now and the model is evolving. The amount of clothing and footwear going to waste here in the UK is staggering, far more than the market can absorb. Our focus now is stopping these items from reaching landfill and ensuring they find a second user instead."
Free school uniforms
Textile Takeback will provide free school uniforms from items available within its stocks.
